New homes

The site is allocated for residential development in the draft Barnet Local Plan – representing a significant opportunity to deliver the homes Barnet and London more widely needs.

We heard that many of you feel that Barnet requires new homes. Our proposals have been carefully designed to deliver up to 300 homes, 40% of which will be affordable

The homes we’re providing will include a mix of private sale, low-cost rent and shared ownership homes in line with Local Plan tenure mix requirements.

We are committed to providing outstanding residential quality by integrating the highest standards, including:

  • A majority of homes will be dual aspect (64%). Of the single aspect homes (36%), no home will be north facing to maximise daylight.

  • Passivhaus Certification, a rigorous standard that ensures comfortable, energy efficient buildings with low heat loss and reduced overheating risk, good daylighting and air quality.

Architecture

Our approach to the design of the development is inspired by the buildings of the High Road, such as the Old Court House and Queen Elizabeth Girls’ School. Our designs incorporate red brick and intricate detailing to ensure the site fits into the local context.
