The proposals will deliver up to 283 new homes including 40% affordable homes, new retail and improved public realm on the site of the existing station car park and surrounding land currently used for container storage.

We held two rounds of consultation, attended by around 1,000 members of the local community, in order to gather views on the proposals: the first in November and December 2024 and the second in March and April 2025. Our consultation included public drop-ins, workshops and webinars, and were invaluable opportunities to hear feedback from local residents and stakeholders. Thank you to everyone that attended one of consultation events or completed a feedback form with your thoughts on our proposals.

This feedback was collated and has been reviewed extensively following the end of our formal consultation period. It has been carefully considered and, where possible, has helped to shape our final submitted masterplan.
